Savonlinna Opera Festival Choir is renowned for its vibrant sound, musical punch, and powerful stage presence. We are now looking for new singers for the choir in summer 2022. The size of the festival choir varies yearly according to the repertoire. The standard choir size for a romantic repertoire is 80 singers. The singers are chosen for one year tenures based on auditions. Currently the choir’s rehearsal schedule includes 4–5 weekend rehearsal workshops in Helsinki. The duration of the festival season in Savonlinna is approximately six weeks, from mid-June to the end of July.

To apply for an audition for the Savonlinna Opera Festival Choir please send an e-mail to olli.tuunanen@operafestival.fi with your current CV and a recent video recording (e.g. a YouTube link made within this year) of operatic repertoire on Friday, July 30th at the latest.
After a video qualifying the chosen ones will be asked to an audition arranged in Helsinki on Friday, September 24th and Saturday, September 25th.
