Singer, the stage of Olavinlinna Castle is calling you!
Savonlinna Opera Festival Choir is renowned for its vibrant sound, musical punch, and powerful stage presence. We are now looking for new singers for the choir in summer 2024. The size of the festival choir varies yearly according to the repertoire. The standard choir size for a romantic repertoire is 80 singers. The singers are chosen for one year tenures based on auditions. Currently the choir’s rehearsal schedule includes 3 weekend rehearsal workshops in Helsinki. The duration of the festival season in Savonlinna is approximately six weeks, from mid-June to the end of July.
To apply for an audition for the Savonlinna Opera Festival Choir please fill the application form HERE with your current CV and a link to video recording (e.g. a YouTube link) of operatic repertoire on August 13th at the latest.
After a video qualifying the chosen ones will be asked to an audition arranged in Helsinki on Saturday, September 9th and Sunday, Semptember 10th.
