VILLA SURUTON – art gallery & design office Villa Suruton is located in a charming wooden villa in the center of Savonlinna. The art gallery has contemporary art exhibitions throughout the year. The artists of the exhibitions, which change every month, come from Finland and abroad. Due to the gallery's good location, it is easy for those traveling in the area to stop by during the exhibitions. The wonderful Villa Suruton was built in 1890 for the use of guests at Olavin Kylpylä. Over the years people that have lived and worked in the villa are e.g. opera singer Aino Ackté, composer Otto Kotilainen, theater director Eino Kalima and writers Mika Waltari, Joel Lehtonen and Jalmari Finne. Today Huvila Suruton is hosted by visual artist Tuomo Kukkonen and interior designer Christian Irjala. Villa Suruton's exhibitions have free entrance.

Olaf Brewing and House of Olaf Olaf Brewing is a craft brewery in Savonlinna. In summer 2022 we will open a new taproom, shop and an event venue called House of Olaf. You will be able to enjoy our beers onsite or buy them with you from the shop. There are also events all summer with a capacity of 450 people. In addition to House of Olaf, we will also open our brewery bar next St. Olafs Castle and a pizzeria in the canal village in Oravi. Welcome to our locations in summer 2022!

We are situated in the heart of Tampere, the third largest city in Finland. Tampere Opera’s production in February 2023 is Wagner’s The Flying Dutchman.

Restaurant services in Olavinlinna Castle The medieval halls of Olavinlinna Castle and the Linnantupa Restaurant are an enchanting historical setting for festive and other occasions large and small. Interval refreshments and buffet before and after the opera.

Järvisydän Restaurants In Järvisydän you will find Restaurant Piikatyttö, which serves guests breakfast, lunch and dinner. In the atmospheric Wine Cellar of Piikatyttö serves a daily 3-course Tavern’s fire menu under the glow of a fireplace and candles. The traditional Saimaa traveler M/S Puijo serves dinner daily in the summertime. The dinner cruise departs from Järvisydän harbour at 19.00 and sails into Linnansaari National Park, returning to Järvisydän at 20.30. Restaurant Solitary serves Chef's Menu dinner Tue-Sat in the main building of Kuru Resort, about 800m from Järvisydän. Solitary relies on the solid craftsmanship and serves a menu of the best ingredients of the season.
