The mission of the Savonlinna Opera Festival Patrons’ Association is to build a unique festival together – now and in the future. We’d love you to join us!

By becoming a member of the Opera Festival Patrons’ Association, you can expand your opera experience with diverse member benefits and support the future of the Opera Festival with your contribution. You’ll help the Opera Festival develop and retain its vitality as an international festival.
Your visit to the castle will be even more exhilarating and effortless thanks to a dedicated member entranceway and intermission space.
You’ll get to book tickets for performances before the rest of the audience, and you’ll receive a 5–15% discount on opera tickets.
You’ll get access to performance introductions and receive free programme leaflets filled with background information on performances.
As an insider, you’ll be the first to hear of announcements, news and offers.

The Savonlinna Opera Festival Patrons’ Association has three different membership levels: Silver, Gold and Platinum. You can find the membership benefits and fees below.

• Early purchase benefit with a 5–15% discount (max 10 tickets) until the end of January
• A complimentary program booklet (1 per production for which a ticket has been purchased)
• Complimentary opera introductions on opera evenings (avec)
• A dedicated member entrance to Olavinlinna Castle (avec)
• An intermission space for members (avec)
• Sparkling wine for two during the intermission
• Opportunity to watch the rehearsals on two designated days (avec)
• Backstage tours at Olavinlinna Castle on specific performance evenings (avec)
• Membership benefits offered by our partners
• Year-round member communication: a dedicated Facebook group, newsletters, artist and performance introductions, etc.
• Opportunity to attend one of six themed evenings organized for partners, members, and the media
• An opera-themed trip at a member price, at least once a year (avec)

Become a member

The Patrons’ Association is our cornerstone

The Savonlinna Opera Festival is backed by a non-profit organisation on a mission to ”create international opera with Finnish professional expertise”. The Savonlinna Opera Festival Patrons’ Association was founded in 1972. It currently has approximately 750 members. Anyone can join simply by paying the membership fee, which supports the operations of the Opera Festival.

The Patrons’ Association offers a genuine opportunity for you to make a difference. The Patrons’ Association elects a member committee, which in turn elects the festival’s Board of Directors. Participating in the meeting of the Patrons’ Association is voluntary, and the meeting takes place every three years.
