To help you enjoy the performance without concerns and crowds, we take safety extremely seriously and adhere to all official guidelines, as do all our partners.

This summer, Olavinlinna will echo with one of the world’s finest baroque operas, Julius Caesar, the lyrical French drama Werther, the fervent classics Carmen ja La traviata, and the most rollicking romp of the summer, The Barber of Seville. Our visitor this year will be the Croatian National Theatre from Rijeka.

The coronavirus pandemic is affecting our plans for the summer 2021 Savonlinna Opera Festival. The performances of King Roger have been cancelled.
