The stars of opera will soon shine bright again. In summer 2022, we want to offer the best of the best: a brand new, spectacular Aida, Tosca with international soloists at the top of their game, and the eternally cherished Carmen. Baritone Ludovic Tézier’s concert at Olavinlinna will be a world-class event.
Our visiting opera company, the Croatian National Theatre in Rijeka, hails from the Adriatic Coast. The tragicomic and fast-paced Giulio Cesare in Egitto is a rare baroque treat, while the one-act operas Arlecchino & Gianni Schicchi are a feast of light-hearted, carnivalesque fun. Arlecchino has never been performed in Finland before.
The group Wardruna, which draws inspiration from Norse mythology, transcends genres with its mesmerising music.
